10/10 would recommend, had my car in and out of three different shops and was recommended to them from some family of mine. Took it there and they were so helpful, communication was great throughout the whole process. Kept me in the loop and made sure I knew what was going on and always got my okay before proceeding. I had a very complicated wiring issue with my Honda Accord and they were very helpful. They kept me informed throughout the entire time they had my car and did everything they could to keep the cost affordable. I would recommend AJ’s to any family or friend.

I recently had an issue with my tire on my avalon. I stopped in to see if anyone could help me and they were more than helpful. They quickly found the problem and guided me through what needed done. Very professional and knowledgeable people.

I took my 2013 Ram 1500 here to get the camshaft replaced .
I knew from reading the forums etc, what was wrong with my truck . It was misfiring on cylinder 8 . I had just spent $650 to have the plugs replaced up the road and it was still misfiring . And they also did an oil change and told me there was metal shavings in my oil. I took it to Ajs after , while talking to Todd the manager (?) , George the owner got on the phone and told me to quit driving around with a misfire cuz “your gojng to load up your cats and they’ll need to be replaced etc. “ so I took it in . I didn’t get it back for 7 weeks! And not because they didn’t get paid . Nooo they were paid almost $5000 IN ADVANCE to fix my truck . They disassembled and reassembled my truck down to the rollers at least 3 times . In the end , I was charged an additional $917 that was completely unauthorized by me or my family for fuel injectors . When I said to Todd “I wasn’t told anything about this … “ his response was “me either !!” I was charged $400+ additional for a catalytic converter y pipe that obviously George knew was a potential issue, I was charged $464 for labor to install the converter and “push rods “ ( I’ll get to those in a min ). After Todd told me they would eat the labor on the converter y pipe. All in all my $4900 was now up to $6800 for a repair I could have done myself in about a month or so for about a grand . I chose to take it to ajs . I entrusted my truck to them so I could get it back soon. I figured a week .. 10 days tops they would have it done. Nope
.7 weeks later . So back to the push rods . I will give ajs credit for not giving up and being tenacious but they fail imho in customer care . After my truck was there for approx 10 days , I was Contacted and told it was running “better” but still had a miss . And that I owed them approx $1000 and I could come get it . I said ‘nope’ it needs fixed . Now this is the same shop that told me to not drive it with a miss just 10 days before , now there sayjng come get your truck , pay us , and drive with a miss . Smh. As to why they charged me $917 for injectors and NEVER AUTHORIZED the charge ? I was told by someone there that my
Injectors had caused the pushrods to bend because the spray pattern was not proper (paraphrased but that was the gist of what I was being told ). I’ve since talked to 3+ other people ; one of whom was a retired mechanic for 50 years and owned his own large shop in Akron ; and it isn’t possible for the fuel injectors to bend the pushrods . It was not timed properly . Period . Those pushrods can’t be bent by the injectors . If the motor is in time and there are no other catastrophic engine failures then the pushrods will not bend . So for 3-4+ weeks of me sitting waiting to get my truck back so I could work my truck was not timed properly . And being an Interference motor, if it’s not timed properly then something is gojng to smash into something else; like the push rods . Their mark up’s are ridiculous ! Ok I understand not wanting to use Amazon parts sometimes . But when you quote me almost $500 for gaskets alone and on Amazon I can get all the gaskets to do this job for around $100-150 bucks ? So either you are getting hosed on your prices or you’re making fat margins on the parts . It’s

The $917 you charged me for fuel injectors is ridiculous ! On Amazon 8 generic injectors are $14 each (approx $110-120 for 8) and the Bosch premium come in at $40 each ($320) . And in the end my engine cover is gone . How could you lose that ? All in all this was a miserable experience . 2 days after getting back , my check engine light turned on . Ajs wanted to charge me to look at it!! SMH. It’s still on 8 weeks later ;( Im considering disputing the $917 charge as it was 100% unauthorized. Waiting for my attorney to decide .

I'm rating a 2 because their communication was great, I went in with a transmission issue, they later stated they don't work on cvt, if I would have known that from the start, I would have spent 1,000 elsewhere. They told me after replacing things that did not need replacing, yes, it is my transmission, I found a repair shop that is willing to accept my warranty. I'm disappointed. Don't go to this garage for more intense repair, what they say and the service they offer with their knowledge is different. They refuse to call a warranty company to help their customers. I really feel horrible for stating this, it's just the truth. They sent me to herbs transmission, Brain was very kind, he stated it was not a transmission issue, I took it to a dealership, it's the transmission, I'm out so much money. AJs from the start should have just said no CVT transmissions here, I'm out so much money.
